For my EDGE project I worked as an intern at the Speech and Presentation Center on the SUU campus.  I decided to do this for my project because it went along with my communications degree and provided a great work to learn experience for me.  I love working with people and because of that I wanted to incorporate that into my EDGE project for whatever I decided to do.  Working as an intern at the Speech and Presentation Center provided me with an opportunity to work with students and faculty on a daily basis.  My EDGE Project consisted of me first becoming familiar with basic presentation software such as Powerpoint, Prezi and Keynote.  I then helped students who came in to the center, by giving them suggestions for how to improve their visual components and oral skills of presenting.  My ultimate goal as an intern was to provide a good experience for the students so they become excited about presenting and hopefully can help people in the future that they come across.
