Cedar City, Utah, March 22, 2017- the campus of SUU has another beneficial resource to offer its students who are in need of help preparing presentations. The Speech and Presentation Center located immediately north of the Student Center is a student run organization with the focus of being a resource and benefit to students on campus and to community members of Cedar City.
The Speech Center provides many internship opportunities for students attending the University and gives them hands on experiences that will provide experience and expertise for their futures. “Experiential learning takes concepts and lessons and turns them into hand-on task with real results” said Sage Platt the SAPC director. Interns are trained to help students with organizing their thoughts and ideas and then fully laying them out on a number of presenting platforms. Mock-interviews and Mock-mediations are also conducted at the center to provide students with preparations for real life scenarios.
The Speech and Presentation Center is open Monday-Thursday from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. and Fridays from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M.
